Appalachian Service Project - March 2014
On March 19 through 23, 2014, an adult mission team will be traveling to Wyoming County, West Virginia to participate in the Appalachian Service Project (ASP) mission of making people's homes safer, warmer, and drier. We will be staying in the ASP dormitory at Brenton, WV. No special skills are necessary, just a willingness and physical ability to work hard and get dirty.
ASP provides one of the most rewarding structured services bringing volunteers to rural Central Appalachia to repair homes for low-income families. But ASP is more than just a building program. Yes—Appalachia's poorest families urgently need your help, but they can help change your life as well, because when you change the lives of others they have a way of changing you.
Please contact Dale Wurzer (email: email@example.com, phone: 540-459-5801) for further information. It is guaranteed that you will return from this trip with your faith strengthened and a warm feeling in your heart.
The Bread of Life Food Pantry Cart
Sponsored by the Women of the Well, is located outside the sanctuary near the High Street entrance. Donations of all non-perishable food items are accepted. Many families in our local community have benefited from this ministry. Let's see that cart filled with items each week!
